History

Thratchen is a highly experienced techno-demon that is best known outside of Tharkold as having been the High Lord Regent of Orrorsh. When the Gaunt Man disappeared from Illmound Keep, Thratchen assumed control of the realm hoping to become its new High Lord.

However, it soon became apparent that Heketon, the Darkness Device of Orrorsh, was not going to select Thratchen as a replacement for the Gaunt Man. When Thratchen also realized that the Gaunt Man would soon escape from his reality storm prison the demon began considering its alternatives. The arrival of Tharkold in Los Angeles could not have occured at a more opportune time.
Thratchen had survived in Orrorsh for the first several months due to a Tharkold talisman implanted in its LifeCyber (this special treatment was common for the lieutenants of the previous Tharkold High Lord, Kranod, during the Sim Wars on Kadandra). Before the talisman expired Thratchen worked with the Nightmare Skutharka to create an Occult ritual that would keep Thratchen's cyberware functioning under Orrorsh's low Tech axiom.
The ritual also allowed Thratchen to keep its high attribute values, but it did eventually lose its special Demon Prince abilities as all of its subordinates back in Tharkold were dominated by new masters. The ritual had to be performed on a regular basis but each subsequent use of the ritual was less effective; Thratchen would eventually have been forced to leave Illmound Keep just to survive (and be forced out of the position of Regent by the Hellion Court) or risk transformation to Orrorsh's reality (without a physical transformation occuring, the now-inert cyberware would have killed Thratchen instantly upon transformation.) It had been rumored that Thratchen did convert to Orrorshan reality but that story was started by Thratchen to mislead the Hellion Court and give it more time to figure out what to do.
When a messenger from Tharkold arrived with word of the pending invasion of Los Angeles, Thratchen began planning. One month after Tharkold arrived Thratchen left Orrorsh for LA. Thratchen spent several months secretly observing the situation in the new realm and learning all it could about the new High Lord and the political situation back home in the cosm.
Thratchen then convinced a group of Storm Knights to assist in a plan to seize control of a large demon pride in Los Angeles. By dominating the Demon Lord Garthak Thratchen regained the status of Demon Prince and gained control of Garthak's stronghold and its demon pride. Thratchen returned to the Tharkold cosm to present itself to Jezrael and pledge its loyalty to her.

Personality

Thratchen is concerned with just one thing, power. Its studies into the nature of the Nameless One and its faith in the Cult of the Dominant are examples of how it seeks out greater power for itself. Thratchen's time in Orrorsh has reinterested it in the power of magic, which it had neglected in the past in preference of religion, and Thratchen has begun restudying the field. Thratchen covets gaining its own Darkness Device, figuring that with the knowledge it gained from the Gaunt Man it could contact the Nameless One and become Torg.

Location

Thratchen currently divides its time between Jezrael's stronghold in the Tharkold cosm and its new stronghold in Los Angeles. Thratchen has moved his pride out of Garthak's old stronghold but still remains in the Compton area of the city.

Thratchen is also an active traveller and can be found operating outside of the realm as well, sometimes on missions for Jezrael and other times for its own purposes.
Thratchen will not be found in Orrorsh however, it knows that both the Gaunt Man and Parok, leader of the Ravagons, want to find him.
