BETTY'S BOOK REVIEWS

Introduction:

These book reviews originally appeared in Phoenix APA over a period of several years, although some of them have been edited for inclusion on this page. Most (though not all) of the books reviewed here are science fiction or fantasy, since that's mostly what I read. I have not, however, attempted to separate the fiction into genres, except for the media tie-in books. I don't review every book I read (which may explain some otherwise puzzling gaps in reviewing series of books, for example), but I will be adding new reviews at least once every two months. All opinions are, of course, my own. But if you'd like to politely disagree with me, tell me how brilliant I am, or otherwise comment on my reviews or this page, feel free to send me e-mail . Those of you visiting this site for the first time will probably want to read the explanation of my rating system .

Note:  This site is now a member of the  the Amazon.com associates program!  I've included links from the books reviewed here to the pages featuring them at Amazon, where you can see more information about them, and buy them if you so desire.  (And, yes, I get a small kickback if you buy something after surfing in from my pages, but I'm not planning on making my living from this or anything.)  I haven't bothered linking in the titles of books that are out of print or otherwise unavailable, but that turns out to be a fairly small minority of the books.  Note that the edition of a book available from Amazon is not always necessarily the edition I read for the review.
