| AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition | http://free.avg.com/ |
- AVG has a free, unlimited version of their anti-virus software for personal use. Now at the version for 2011, the free edition is still free for personal use. If you have and use the older 9.0 version and still qualify for the free edition (the limitations haven't changed), then simply download and install the new version to stay up to date.
Please be advised that a toolbar rides on the installer, and it wants to set your home page and search engine to Yahoo. If you do not want any extra toolbars, then please choose a custom installation and accept all the defaults, but uncheck the toolbar checkbox.

If your PC is infected with this worm, then the worm will prevent you from seeing select images in the eye chart, because those images are hosted on Web sites that Conficker is designed to block. If your PC is infected, then you should have an experienced friend or professional remove it for you. For SDC Internet subscribers, we can help you over the phone for free.
